Comfort, Design and Features

All Discovery models come with front and rear parking sensors, and all models from 2021 onwards have a 3D surround camera system. All versions have a touchscreen infotainment system as well as physical dials and buttons for heating and air conditioning. Depending on model year and trim level, features can also include DAB Radio, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, Meridian sound system.

In terms of space, the Discovery is very practical – It has two glove boxes, large door pockets and cupholders. On the HSE trim on older models, there is a hidden compartment behind the air conditioning dials for extra bits and bobs, that you open by giving the component a gentle push (note that from 2021 onwards, all models will have this secret compartment).

Even in the third row of seats, there is still plenty of room for your passengers, and the seats in the third row have ISOFIX too. This third row of seats can be folded down to reduce your seats to 5, making for a much larger boot. Or, you can fold down all 5 seats in the rear if you need to transport something large, and this can even be done electrically on higher specs such as HSE, HSE Luxury and Metropolitan.

Driving, Handling and Ride Quality

Air suspension is standard in the Discovery, helping to absorb bumps in the road and making for an even more comfortable driving experience. No matter which model you choose, there’s loads of adjustment in the steering wheel and in the seat, so you can arrange the driving position to suit you – in all models the front seats are electric. The seats are supportive and comfortable, and offer a high seating position so you get an excellent view of the road.

Entry-level Land Rover Discovery models like the S come with features such as powered tailgate, heated windscreen, heated seats, leather upholstery, electric seats and cruise control.
