Meet Ste: Valeter & Cheesecake Enthusiast

When Kia Carlisle valeter, Ste, isn’t hard at work here at Lloyd Motor Group, he’s hard at work in the kitchen at home. Ste spends his spare time creating delicious cheesecakes, not just for himself to enjoy, but he also makes them made to order for customers in Carlisle and the surrounding areas! To find out a bit more about Ste, we asked him some questions…

Firstly, can you tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi, I’m Ste, I’m 38 and married with two Chihuahuas called Pablo and Angelo. Outside of work, aside from making cheesecakes, I love travelling and going on holiday, and I also enjoy going to the gym.

What do you enjoy most about being part of the Lloyd Motor Group family?

I particularly enjoy working within a high performing dealership.

How did you first get into making cheesecakes?

It started out as a hobby as I’ve always had an interest in baking and desserts. I ended up making some cheesecakes for the Lane Bar in Carlisle for a charity event, and then for the Eden Valley Hospice as well. People started telling me that I should start selling cheesecakes, and it just went from there.

What's your favourite cheesecake to make, and your favourite to eat?

My favourite cheesecake to make is Ferrero Rocher, and to eat, my personal favourite is Strawberry & White Chocolate!

What is your top tip for making cheesecakes?

Remember to always fold your mixture.

To bake, or not to bake a cheesecake?

Personally, I would say that I prefer unbaked cheesecakes. I find that they always taste fresher for longer.

Is a cheesecake a cake or a pie?

In my opinion, cheesecakes are a cake.
