Meet Shane, our Aftersales Manager at Lloyd North Tyneside

Shane has been part of Lloyd Motor Group for around five years now and was recently given the opportunity to lead our BMW and MINI Aftersales team at Lloyd North Tyneside. He brings a wealth of experience to his new role, and is here to ensure a seamless aftersales experience for all of our customers.

Can you talk us through your Lloyd Career so far, and tell us what first drew you to Lloyd North Tyneside?

"I started my career with Lloyd Motor Group as Service Manager at Lloyd Cockermouth in June 2020. 6 months later, I was promoted to Aftersales Manager at the site.

"Last year, I applied for another role at Lloyd Motor Group which was a group-wide role, which opened up my career aspirations with the Directors of the business. The feedback I got from the team was awesome, and that I should look at a Head of Business role in the future.

"After helping out at Lloyd North Tyneside for a few days when the site was first acquired, I was so excited and really saw the potential of the site and wanted to be involved. I noted my interest with Sam Lloyd, our Managing Director, and he came to meet with me regarding it. Within a few days, and with the support of the Directors and importantly my current Head of Business at the time, a new role was created for me at Lloyd North Tyneside!"
 

What are you most looking forward to about your new position?

“I am really looking forward to getting stuck in and being here full-time once my new house is ready to move in to in the next few weeks. The directors have spoken to me over the last 12 months about my development plan and my aspirations, so it made sense to utilise this position as a springboard. Luckily, they created a role here for me at Tyneside to enable this".
 

What can our customers expect from their Aftersales experience when booking with Lloyd North Tyneside?

“Lloyd Now Tyneside is now starting to look and feel like a Lloyd Motor Group site - Its one thing changing the name above the door, but we now have Lloyd people in the business. I am heading up the Aftersales Department, and Jamie from Lloyd Carlisle is also joining to head up the Sales Department. I will be working really hard to align the business with our high standards so that customers receive the same offering whether they visit us here at North Tyneside or any of our other retailers".
