Meet James, Product Specialist at Lloyd Volvo Carlisle
We are thrilled to introduce the newest member of our team at Lloyd Volvo Carlisle, James Naylor, who has joined us as a Product Specialist.
In his new role, James is dedicated to helping customers with any questions they may have about our vehicles, assisting with test drives, and ensuring a smooth handover process. Whether you're looking for advice on which model is the best fit for you or want to make sure you're getting the most out of your new car, James is here to assist.
We caught up with James to see how he’s finding his new role so far as well as get to know him a bit more outside of the showroom...
Hi James, can you tell us a bit about yourself?
"Hello, I'm James and I'm a 22-year-old lad from Carlisle. I joined the army at the age of 16 and I spent most of my army career with the horses outside Buckingham Palace as well as in the jungle. I left the army in October 2024."
What does your day to day look like as a Product Specialist at Lloyd Volvo Carlisle?
"As a Product Specialist at Lloyd Volvo Carlisle, I help customers with any questions they may have on the product and assist with test drives. I also support with handovers to make sure every customer knows every detail about the car they have bought and how to get the maximum capability from the vehicle."
What are you enjoying most about your new role?
"I love the fact I can go home to my family each night with this new job which is a new experience to me! I also love cars and wanted to work in the motor trade so I can get out what I put in effort wise."
What advice would you give to someone also thinking of taking a career change?
"My advice to anyone starting a new career would be to be as positive as possible."
Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
"My hobbies outside work are MMA. I spent a lot of time training and fighting in Thailand."
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that few people know.
"A fun fact about myself is that I have given a commendation from the King for bravery due to a situation that happened whilst I was serving in the military."
What was your first car and what do you currently drive?
"My first car was a Corsa, and I currently drive a BMW 2 Series."
