Hi Ella, tell us about yourself.
Hello, I’m Ella and I'm an apprentice technician at Lloyd Carlisle BMW. I started my role at Lloyd Motor Group in June 2024 and I already feel a part of a spectacular team and work environment!

What made you apply for the apprenticeship at Lloyd Motor Group?
I applied for an apprenticeship at Lloyd Motor Group because of how the company has always been known for delivering top quality service to their customers... including my family. Working in the motor trade has been a passionate ambition of mine from a young age and this was later confirmed when I completed my work experience prior to my application.

What’s your favorite thing about your current role?
My favorite thing about my current role is the support in opportunity given to me by Lloyd Motor Group, not only to learn academically but practically working hands on within a specialized supporting team.

At Lloyd Motor Group, we are always keen to develop emerging talent. Combining on-the-job skill development with college-based or manufacturer-provided training, we pride ourselves on the success of our Apprentice Programmes.

What’s your favourite way to spend a weekend?
My favourite way to spend a weekend is training and competing with my friends and team for my sport, Tug of War.

Where do you see yourself in a few years?
In a few years, I see myself working towards my BMW Senior Technician qualification with Lloyd Motor Group.

What advice would you give someone who's thinking of applying for an apprenticeship at Lloyd Motor Group?
The advice I would give someone who is thinking about applying for an apprenticeship at Lloyd motor group would be to work hard and come with an open mind towards your learning...as well as have fun!

What's your hidden talent?

What's your hidden talent?

My hidden talent would be my Tug of War. I am lucky enough to have been picked to travel and compete in other countries as well as major national and international competitions from wearing my club shirt, Upper Eden, to an England shirt. It takes a lot of training, hard work and dedication, just like anything great. I would say Tug of War and my apprenticeship really are the most enjoyable things I am lucky to do.
