MINI Sales Manager Robert Walks 62 Miles for Diabetes UK

At Lloyd MINI, we're dedicated to supporting our community and giving back to great causes – and our very own Retail Sales Manager at Lloyd Blackpool MINI, Robert, is about to take on a challenge for a very important charity next month. Robert will be walking 62 miles in March to raise money for Diabetes UK!

Robert’s determination to take on this challenge comes from his youngest daughter, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at just three years old. Over the years, Robert and his wife have watched their daughter display resilience and determination, never letting diabetes stand in her way.

"My youngest daughter was diagnosed when she was three with type 1 diabetes. She has her ups and downs with the condition but she is extremely brave and just cracks on with everyday life. She is now approaching 10 next month, and doesn’t let the illness get in her way for anything, including playing football 3 times a week".

For Robert, this cause is incredibly close to his heart. Diabetes UK is working tirelessly to find a cure for diabetes, and any funds Robert raises from this challenge will go directly to supporting their vital research and ongoing efforts to improve the lives of those affected by the illness.

By taking on the 62-mile challenge, Robert hopes to raise funds and awareness about the condition, and show his unwavering support for his daughter.
