Lloyd South Lakes announce St Mary's Hospice charity partnership

Lloyd South Lakes are delighted to announce their charity partnership with St Mary’s Hospice.

St Mary’s Hospice is an incredible charity based within the Furness Peninsula and South Lakes. They pride themselves on providing first class care and comfort for patients living with any life-shortening illness or long-term condition and their family, from diagnosis and longer.

The charity proudly offers a range of services led by a multi-professional team, on-site in their Inpatient Unit, and out in the community with their Hospice at Home team, Living Well Centre, and Living Well Programme.

With an annual operating cost of around 5 million pounds a year, the charity relies heavily on the generosity of sponsors and donations, resulting in 8/10 patients care being funded by the local community.

At Lloyd, we are always looking for ways to support our local community wherever possible, and we are delighted to partner with such a important cause. Alongside additional fundraising opportunities, for every customer who completes a KIA or Volvo Voice of the Customer survey post visit, we will donate £1 on their behalf to St Marys Hospice.

We look forward to seeing the positive contribution these donations will make to those within our local community.

It costs over £5 million a year to run St Mary’s Hospice and all of our services, with only one fifth of this coming from the NHS. This means that the care of eight out of every ten of our patients is funded by donations from individuals and businesses like Lloyd South Lakes. It is wonderful that Lloyd Motor Group are so keen to support our hospice and, as a result, the community they operate within. Our services have and will affect so many of their customers and staff.
