Lloyd Motorrad Presents New R 1250 RT to Blood Bikes Cumbria
Lloyd BMW Motorrad are proud to have presented the Blood Bikes Cumbria team with a brand new BMW R 1250 RT LE, generously funded by the Mark Masons’ Hall Foundation.
Blood Bikes Cumbria provide a free out-of-hours transport service, 365 days of the year, transporting urgently needed blood, medication, samples and other medical supplies between North Cumbrian hospitals and the blood transfusion bank in the north east. They also supply the Great North Air Ambulance Service with blood for their blood-on-board service every day of the week, regardless of weather conditions. All of this is made possible by their incredible volunteers, who selflessly dedicate their time to make a difference.
This handover marks the first of four BMW Motorrad R 1250 RT motorcycles being added to the Blood Bikes Cumbria fleet. Additionally, Lloyd BMW Motorrad has provided the team with a lower-style seat that can be swapped out, designed for shorter riders, and each R 1250 RT LE has adaptive suspension that adjusts automatically so that their riders will stay comfortable across varying conditions.
Pictured at the handover are Blood Bikes Cumbria’s Chair, Jim, Vice Chair, Ian, and Vice Fleet Manager, Les, joined by the Lloyd BMW Motorrad team and members of the local Masons.
We are delighted to support Blood Bikes Cumbria in their incredible work and look forward to seeing these motorcycles make a difference in the lives of many. Learn more about Blood Bikes Cumbria and their mission below.
