Lloyd Motor Group Acquires Tyneside BMW & MINI

Lloyd Motor Group has strengthened its offering in the North East with the acquisition of Stratstone Tyneside BMW & MINI, located just outside Newcastle on Silverlink Shopping Park.

The merger, which took effect on 29 October 2024, sees 57 new colleagues join Lloyd Motor Group. The business has been renamed Lloyd North Tyneside BMW & MINI, and 18 new jobs will be available, including the key role of Head of Business, who will oversee operations across the North Tyneside business. Further roles are being recruited across accounts, aftersales, sales, and operations.

Lloyd Motor Group’s presence in the North East has doubled in the last year with the acquisition of Stratstone Tyneside and the launch of Lloyd Select Newcastle, its newly opened flagship used car operation on Scotswood Road, Newcastle. These retailers join the long-established and successful businesses Lloyd Newcastle BMW & MINI and Lloyd Newcastle Bodyshop, located at Fenham Barracks in Newcastle.
