Introducing the Kia EV3

Kia Corporation has revealed specifications and images of the exterior and interior design for the Kia EV3, the new all-electric SUV. Built on a 400-volt E-GMP platform, the Kia EV3 demonstrates our latest design language. The EV3’s sleek lines and aerodynamic profile not only enhance its visual appeal but also improve efficiency. The interior is equally impressive, featuring a spacious cabin with high-quality sustainable materials and cutting-edge technology, first seen on EV9.

As standard, the Kia EV3 offers a premium level of equipment. Key items include a 12.3” Driver Display, 5.3” Climate Control Touchscreen, 12.3” Touchscreen Navigation System with Wireless Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM, E[1]Shift Column Gear Selector, Heated Front Seats & Steering Wheel, and Advanced Safety Features.



The Kia EV3 will be available in three grades, with the entry grade ‘Air’ offering a high level of equipment including 17” Alloy Wheels, LED Headlights, Roof Rails, Body-Coloured Flush Door Handles and 6-Speaker Audio System.‘GT-Line’ key items include 19” Alloy Wheels, GT-Line Styling, LED Headlights with Small Cube Design, Roof Rails, Lumbar Support and Digital Key.

The ‘GT-Line S’ tops the range with additional specification. Key items include 19” Alloy Wheels, Sunroof, Customisable Head-Up Display, 8-Speaker Harmon Kardon Premium Sound System and Premium Relaxation Seats with Memory Function. Range & Charging ‘Air’ will have the option of either a 58.3kWh or 81.4kWh battery. ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’ will have the 81.4kWh battery as standard. EV3 features a front-wheel-drive powertrain which has a 150kW single motor delivering 201bhp. ‘Air Standard Range’ 58.3kWh is capable of up to 266 miles, whilst ‘Air’ 81.4kWh is capable of up to 372 miles on a single charge. ‘Air’ SR will be available as a sold order only. All models can be charged from 10%-80% in approximately 30 minutes.



In order to achieve the maximum charging speed, EV3 must use a 400-volt electric vehicle charger that delivers at least 150kW. Actual charging speed and charging time may be influenced by the battery temperature and weather conditions. Range figures are determined according to the standardised EU measurement procedure (WLTP). Individual driving style and other factors, such as speed, outside temperature, topography, and the use of electricity-consuming devices/units, have an influence on the real-life range and can possibly reduce it.

Exterior

The EV3's exterior design is characterised by its distinctive LED lighting, aerodynamic wheels, and silhouette that reduces drag and maximises range. The EV3 has a real presence on the road with its wide stance and bold front design incorporating the EV9 daytime running light design. ‘Air’, ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’ will have different front and rear bumpers with different diffuser and light designs. The Kia EV3 will also be available with new exterior colours, including Sunset Orange, Pistachio Green, Frost Blue, and Shale Grey. Sunset Orange is the standard paint for EV3.

Interior

The interior of the Kia EV3 provides a spacious and comfortable experience for the driver and passengers. The interior features Kia’s 10 must-have sustainability items. There is a QR Code on the dashboard which, when scanned, allows you to see all the sustainable materials which have been used across different parts of the vehicle. Below the navigation touchscreen, haptic feedback buttons provide a clean and elegant look. The centre console with sliding tray has increased usability, creating additional space for the driver and passengers.

Interior Trims

The dark grey interior will be available across all grades on Kia EV3. Seats in the ‘Air’ will be available with a blue insert. Specific two-tone artificial leather seats will be available on ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’.

Paint Charges
Premium paint is charged at £625 (inc. VAT).

Showroom / Demonstrator Available in Q4 2024.
Demonstrators will be available on the standard EV Demonstrator lease programme. Showcase EV3 will be live on Showcase on 1 August 2024, in line with the EV3 Electric Experience Roadshow.

Orders / Arrivals
 First customer deliveries will be in Q4 2024.
