We caught up with the team at Cumbrian Properties about why they made the switch from their previous petrol MINI Clubmans to an electric fleet, and how it's all going. Here's what they had to say:


What made you decide it was time to go electric with your fleet?

“With 7 cars on the road for business, it seemed like a good time to change to electric vehicles, which are better for the environment and efficient around town”.


How do you think the switch to electric will impact your day-to-day operations at Cumbrian Properties?

“It will make the administration easier, as we do not have to differentiate between ‘work’ mileage and ‘leisure’ milage for the staff.  They will also get an increase in their tax-free earnings with an electric vehicle”.


What’s the feedback been like so far from the Cumbrian Properties team about the new Aceman, and what are their favourite features so far?

“The feedback has been positive - They like the heated steering wheel, the reverse cameras, and the climate system, which defrosts the car before getting in”.


What’s the plan for charging—are you set up with chargers at work, or will you use public ones?

“All the staff have chargers installed at home”.


How does driving the new MINI Aceman compare to your previous petrol MINI Clubmans?

“The new MINI Acemans are much quieter than the Clubman, and they are higher than the old ones. The central panel gives a good, clear display”.


What advice would you give to other businesses considering making the switch to an electric fleet?

“It is worthwhile for any business to consider the environment, and we would recommend looking into electric vehicles as a positive step, which reflects well on the ethics of the business”.
