Cumbria Tourism Power Local Adventures with Lloyd MINI
The Cumbria Tourism team are excited to further its commitment to sustainability through an ongoing partnership with Lloyd Motor Group. As part of this collaboration, the organisation has taken delivery of a new fully-electric MINI Countryman SE ALL4 Classic, marking the next step in promoting environmentally-friendly travel across Cumbria.
This partnership highlights the shared goal of Cumbria Tourism and Lloyd Motor Group to showcase the growing accessibility and benefits of electric vehicles, both for businesses and visitors across the region.
The MINI Countryman SE, with its all-electric performance and compact versatility, will support the Cumbria Tourism team as they travel across the county for meetings, events, and member visits. Reflecting the organisation’s ongoing efforts to champion the use of electric vehicles as an accessible, sustainable, and practical way to explore, live and work in Cumbria.
This new addition complements existing sustainability initiatives at Cumbria Tourism, including a Cycle to Work Scheme, encouragement of public transport use, and staff car-sharing policies.
Cumbria Tourism’s Managing Director, Gill Haigh, says:
"We’re excited to continue to grow our partnership with Lloyd Motor Group and to get behind the wheel of the MINI Countryman SE. We’re looking forward to experiencing everything this car has to offer as we work to support businesses and the visitor economy in a greener, more sustainable way."
Andrew Robinson, Head of Business at Lloyd South Lakes MINI added:
“We’re thrilled to continue our Strategic Partnership with Cumbria Tourism and are excited to support their efforts with the all-electric MINI Countryman, a brand-new model to MINI’s all-electric line-up in 2024. This innovative vehicle is perfectly suited to the region, especially with the growing network of charging infrastructure. We’re proud to provide the team with such a standout electric vehicle and look forward to hearing more about their experiences as they showcase the benefits of electrification for businesses and visitors throughout Cumbria.”
This collaboration reinforces Cumbria Tourism’s ongoing role in highlighting the region’s growing EV infrastructure, including two public charge points installed at its Staveley HQ. Through this partnership with Lloyd Motor Group and other projects, Cumbria Tourism aims to play a key role in the region’s ongoing push to integrate more sustainable practices and help businesses in the Tourism & Hospitality sector reduce their carbon footprint.
