Anthony Jones celebrate 15 Years with Lloyd Motor Group

On behalf of the Lloyd team, we would like to congratulate our Lloyd Colne Service Manager, Anthony Jones, on his 15th anniversary working for Lloyd Motor Group.

Starting his Lloyd career in 2009, Anthony has gained a wealth of industry knowledge, implementing this into the management of our busy Colne aftersales department to ensure productivity and success.

Putting customer satisfaction at the forefront, he has cemented a strong and trusted rapport amongst our customers, ensuring each and every one receives the premium Lloyd BMW experience we pride ourselves on.

We caught up with him as he reflects on his Lloyd journey so far...



Congratulations on 15 years Anthony, can you tell us about your career with Lloyd so far?

“I started my Lloyd career back in December 2009 as Assistant Aftersales Manager at Lloyd Colne, later being promoted to Service Manager in 2013. Over my time with the company I have had the opportunity to take part in numerous manufacture training courses designed to further my knowledge and aid with career development, including my BMW Manager Certification in 2018.”

What do you enjoy most about working at Lloyd Colne BMW?

“I love the family-owned ethic Lloyd pride themselves on. We value and recognise the efforts of all of our staff, seeing them as more than just a statistic but instrumental elements within the successful running of the business. I feel this grounded approach helps us to ensure success and sets Lloyd apart from the rest.”

Can you talk us through a typical day in your role?

“Firstly, I will check prior day performance to evaluate, prioritise and forward plan for the day ahead. This helps guarantee the department runs as smoothly and profitably as possible. Customer satisfaction is of the upmost importance to us here at Colne, and we have worked hard to build a strong and trusted rapport amongst our customers. Over the course of the day I will regularly check in during their appointments to ensure every aspect of their visit is being met and to offer my assistance where needed. I also make a consious effort to regulary check in with my staff as well, as without them we cannot operate effectively. It’s a real team effort and that is why It works so well.”

What is your career highlight from the last 15 years working for Lloyd?

“There have been so many treasured memories over the past 15 years, however, a particular highlight was an all expenses paid trip to Claridge’s in London after being recognised for exemplary UK Customer service.”

What has been your favorite company car?

What has been your favorite company car?

“I have had so many amazing models over the years, but one that stands out was a stunning M3 that had a premium M performance kit fitted so it very much resembled a BTCC touring car!”

What is your key to success?

“Never give up! the journey may take a while, but the result will be worth it in the end and the experience and knowledge you will learn along the way will be invaluable.”

How do you relax when you’re not at work?

“Outside of work, I like to keep active and in shape through pursuits such as mountain biking and the gym. I also have a passion for classic cars. Also, being a father to 2 daughters, I’m always kept busy!”
