Group Warranty Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Warranty Manager to join Lloyd Motor Group based in Cumbria.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already has experience in the automotive industry to work for one of the UK’s largest family run automotive retailers.

Salary: Basic £32,000 OTE £38,000 A company car is also included as part of the benefits package for this role (T&C’s apply).
Hours: 08:30 - 17:30

Candidates must have: 

• Experience in warranty administration, preferably managing multiple locations, though this is not essential.
• Full UK driving licence
• This role involves regular site visits across multiple locations, so a willingness to travel is essential.

Role responsibilities:

• Maximise Warranty Efficiency: Ensure all manufacturer requirements are met, proactively claiming everything eligible to optimise warranty returns.
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills: Maintain accurate records of submissions, rejections, and customer goodwill contributions, ensuring clear and effective communication across the group.
• Warranty Procedures and Manufacturer Requirements: Stay up to date with the latest warranty procedures and manufacturer requirements, ensuring compliance and optimal service delivery
• Job Card Review and Amendments: Regularly review job cards and request amendments where necessary to optimize warranty profitability, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Minimise Audit Debits: Implement strategies to reduce audit risks and prevent unnecessary financial debits.
• Training and Coaching: Support the development of new technicians and warranty administrators, enhancing their efficiency and understanding of warranty processes.
• Holiday Cover: Provide support during staff absences, ensuring warranty work in progress (WIP) is effectively managed and invoiced promptly.
• Process Improvement: Conduct internal audits in line with manufacturer standards, using insights to refine processes, maximise opportunities, and reduce the risk of audits and write-offs.
• Loss Prevention: Actively work to reduce unclaimable work and minimise WIP write-offs​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
