It also sets new standards thanks to its impressive interior, spaciousness and its focus on innovative technologies and elegant design. Subtle details like visible seams lend the driver-focused cockpit a luxurious touch. Additional and more diverse storage options, such as the enlarged storage box in the centre console, offer flexible space for stowing what’s important.

Let the feeling of space inside the new Passat inspire you. And because the gear lever is now positioned behind the steering wheel, there is additional space and storage in the centre console – even for your tablet. Its clever space concept provides a luggage compartment capacity of up to 690 litres in total (510 litres in total for eHybrid vehicles). With the rear seat bench folded down, the total luggage capacity increases to 1,920 litres on petrol engines and 1,740 litres on eHybrid.

One Passat. Three climate zones.

From the Life trim upwards, the temperature can be controlled independently in three zones. The driver and front seat passenger as well as back seat passengers can each enjoy their preferred feel-good temperature – with separate controls even provided on the rear row of seats.

Experience pure seating comfort in the new Passat. That’s because the optional ergoActive seats with fabric covers made from leather or ArtVelours microfleece along with a host of massage functions guarantee relaxation right from the start. Available on the Life trim, driver and front seat passenger can look forward to 3 point massage function, with the option to upgrade to heated seats through function on demand. Elegance and R-Line trims benefit from 13 point massage and heated functionality, as standard. The seat cushion and backrest can be heated separately.

Special features

Trailer Assist

The new Passat can tow up to 2.2 tonnes, for example a camping or horse trailer. The optional towing bracket is concealed under the rear and semi-automatically folds down when required at the press of a button.

Digital Cockpit Pro and Head Up Display

Configure your high-resolution 26 cm (10 inch) standard Digital Cockpit Pro yourself with ease, so that it’s exactly the way you want it.

Voice Assistant

The new IDA voice assistant allows you to conveniently operate the radio, telephone, your music, the optional three-zone air conditioning system and optional navigation unit with your voice. For example, you can select the radio station or choose the address book entry or telephone number you’re looking for with your voice.

Wireless Charging

The Comfort mobile phone hands-free system has microphones in the roof console, while the internal speakers ensure high sound quality of the voice output.

IQ.Light

The matrix technology of the headlights allows you to drive with the main beam permanently switched on without dazzling other road users. An elegant light strip extends between the headlights and the Volkswagen logo.

Adaptive Chassis Control DCC Pro

The electronically controlled two-valve shock absorbers react in milliseconds to the road conditions and the driving situation. This delivers even more comfort and driving pleasure in the new Passat with its long wheelbase. And if that’s still not enough, you can simply adapt your Volkswagen even more precisely by choosing driving modes such as comfort, sport or individual.

Panoramic Sunroof

This optional tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof (standard on Elegance) generously stretches practically over the entire width of the roof, bathing all passengers in more light and offering a virtually unrestricted view of the sky.
