As soon as you sit inside the Touareg, it’s plain to see: the stylish interior design says it all. An elegant double seam runs from the dashboard across to the door sill and the high-quality, harmoniously coordinated materials ensure a feel-good atmosphere straight away. The background lighting is available optionally starting with the Elegance equipment line with 30 different colours.
The Touareg eHybrid with plug-in hybrid technology is the most powerful Volkswagen of all time. It brings absolute performance from the race track onto the road with passion and motorsport in its blood. This plug in hybrid technology is also available for the first time on the Elegance trim offering an electic range of 31 miles.
The Touareg Elegance eHybrid is a plug-in hybrid that combines an electric motor and a TSI petrol engine. When the battery is sufficiently charged, you start in electric mode, producing zero local carbon emissions. If you activate hybrid mode, you combine both drives for maximum system output of 280 kW (381 PS)
Huge dimensions for big impressions. The tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof covers almost the entire roof and also offers passengers in the rear a virtually unrestricted view of the sky. A little extra fresh air? The front half of the roof opens at the press of a button or extends fully over the rear part.
The standard Discover Pro Max navigation system is the flagship of Volkswagen’s navigation systems. The 38.1 cm (15 inch) TFT touchscreen with colour display forms a visual unit with the 31.2 cm (12.3 inch) Digital Cockpit, and can be operated by voice control, gestures or touch.
The new Touareg is transformed into a mobile concert hall with the optionally available DYNAUDIO Consequence sound system.

The Keyless Access comfort package does the heavy lifting when your hands are full. It allows you to open and close the rear lid without the need for any contact.
With the optional all-wheel steering, the rear wheels are turned to an angle opposite to the front wheels up to 23 mph. The turning circle is reduced by more than one metre as a result.
The Touareg lets you decide what type of driving experience you want. Depending on the driving mode, the air suspension* lifts the vehicle to a ground clearance of 258 mm. The rear of the vehicle can also be lowered by 40 mm for convenient loading or unloading.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) helps you to maintain a previously set maximum speed and pre-set distance to the vehicle in front. ACC also supports you with predictive cruise control and cornering assistance. ACC can therefore adapt the vehicle’s speed to the relevant speed limits and road layouts (bends, roundabouts etc.).
Manoeuvring in the busy city centre, in a multi-storey car park or in rough terrain: there are many situations in which drivers could use a few extra eyes. With Area View* you get them in the form of four cameras that capture the area around the vehicle and transfer helpful information to the screen of the infotainment system.
