Bodyshop Advisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bodyshop Advisor to join our Aftersales team at Lloyd BMW & MINI South Lakes.

Our Virtual Bodyshop project has grown very quickly since launching in January and we now need the right person to enable the next phase of our growth in this important area of the business. Our ideal candidate would have experience in customer service in the automotive industry, ideally as a Bodyshop Estimator or Service Advisor, and some knowledge of the vehicle repair process.

Salary: Basic salary £26,000 per annum with OTE of £32,000.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 6pm, occasional Saturday mornings as required

Role responsibilities:

• Dealing with all customers in a professional, prompt and courteous manner, portraying a positive first impression of the Aftersales Department
• Advising customers on technical queries/issues and insurance repair processes in a professional and helpful manner
• Booking vehicles into the department for body repair work to be carried out, and completion of any relevant paperwork to a high standard, ensuring compliance procedures are adhered to
• Arranging a courtesy car or hire car for customers where required
• Preparing repair estimates using Audatex, with the additional support of colleagues at our BMW-approved bodyshops where necessary
• Negotiating with insurance companies and credit hire suppliers to agree appropriate repairs profitably
• Planning and agreeing any relevant parts orders with the Parts Department once repairs are authorised
• Liaising with onsite BMW technicians, approved bodyshops, cosmetic repairers and other suppliers to complete repairs
• Keeping customers informed about the progress of their repairs
• Agreeing supplementary estimates and authorisation with insurance companies
• Processing repair invoices, collecting payments and handing over completed vehicles to customers
